Fayemi sad over Ibadan Floods

Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has expressed sadness over the devastating flood that ravaged parts of  Ibadan, the Oyo State capital over the weekend.
The governor in a statement on Monday signed by the Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Olayinka Oyebode, described the incident as one disaster too many taking place when the people of Lagos State are yet to recover from a similar incident which occurred about  a month ago.
Fayemi prayed God to grant repose to the souls of victims who lost their lives in the flood and urged their family members to seek solace in God who comforts the bereaved.
While condoling his Oyo State counterpart, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, on the disaster, Fayemi prayed that such a deadly occurrence would not be witnessed again in the state or anywhere in the country.
Fayemi said “ The government and the good people of Ekiti State commiserate  with Governor Abiola Ajimobi and the entire people of Oyo State over this unfortunate incident, which came barely a month after a similar occurrence in Lagos State. Our prayers is that God will console all those who have lost their loved ones and properties to the flood.”
The governor also charged relevant rescue and emergency agencies to continue their mission to bring relief to the displaced.
