NBC DG commends contributions of former board members

The Director-General of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), Engr. Yomi Bolarinwa, has expressed appreciation for the contributions of the immediate past members of the NBC Board to the Commission’s progress.
He made the remark at a farewell dinner organised in honour of the former board members on Thursday in Abuja.
The director-general noted that the comments of the board members were often critical, incisive and generally constructive during board meetings in their two-year board membership.
By so doing, he said, the erstwhile board members offered the NBC management valuable insight and guidance toward implementing appropriate decisions that had taken the Commission to the present stage of development.
The former NBC board members include Alhaji Ibrahim Najume Musa, Chairman; Chief Patrick Adaba, Mr Yomi Ayorinde, Mr Mike Mku and Mr Akhere Ugbesia.
The others are Engr. Yakubu Rasheed, Otunba Doyin Ogungbe, Alhaji Abdullahi Ibrahim Kuda, who was represented at the occasion, and Bolarinwa, Chief Executive Officer of the Commission.
All the former Board members, in individual comments, commended the director-general for doing a good job, saying the Commission had witnessed tremendous progress during his tenure.
The highlight of the occasion was the presentation of plaques to the former Board members.
The ceremony was attended by the Director-General of the Nigerian Film Corporation, Engr. Afolabi Adesanya; Director-General, Nigerian Film and Video Census Board, Engr. Linus Mba, and Engr. Edward Amana, a former NTA Executive Director (Engineering). (NAN)
