President Goodluck Jonathan has congratulated Chief H.I.D. Awolowo on the occasion of her ninety-sixth birthday.
In a letter to the wife of late Chief Awolowo, President Jonathan prayed that God Almighty will continue to bless her with robust health and more years of enduring happiness and fulfillment.
President Jonathan said at this point in the nation's history, when Nigeria needed the patriotic commitment of men and women of goodwill, Mrs. Awolowo had remained a respected voice of vision and an unwavering believer in the peace, unity and prosperity of the nation.
The President wished Mrs. Awolowo a very happy birthday.
