Private guard companies train staff on counter terrorism in Kaduna

Private guard companies in Kaduna State have commenced training their staff on counter terrorism techniques as part of efforts to address the current national security challenges.
The Chairman of the Association of Private Guards Companies in the state, Mrs Emilia Csazar, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Kaduna that the training, being the first of its kind, was organised in collaboration with the National Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC).
She said 60 operatives drawn from 10 member companies had already concluded the first session of the two-week training programme, while 82 others drawn from other organisations were currently undergoing similar training.
Csazar said the training module was on basic paramilitary drills, introduction to security, post-system surveillance, first aid security hazards and surveillance undercover techniques.
She added that the training programme, which would be a continuous exercise, was aimed at equipping the operatives with skills on combating current security challenges in the country.
``Part of our responsibility is to complement government’s efforts by providing intelligence security information that will help to eradicate terrorism in the country.’’ (NAN)
