The estranged wife of dethroned Deji of Akure, Oba Oluwadare Adesina Adepoju, Olori Bolanle, is dead. She reportedly died at the Saint Mary Specialist Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos, after a protracted illness.
Her death came after a year she had a public brawl with her husband, ex-Oba Adepoju, along the popular Hospital Road Akure, the Ondo State capital.
The public show of shame, which was attended by both local and international condemnation, eventually led to his removal by the Ondo State Government which later banished him to Owo in Owo Local Government Area of the state.
Confirming the death, a close and dependable family source told National Mirror that since that encounter with her estrange husband, life had never been the same again, adding that “She had always been frequenting the hospital until she was diagnosed of a renal failure which eventually claimed her life.
A visit to her family house at Owo showed that members of the family were disturbed by her death and confirmed that she died around 4.45am yesterday morning while another family source said her body would soon be moved to Akure for necessary traditional rituals and burial.
