Oshiomhole appoints new SSG

Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State has appointed Dr Simon Imuekemhe as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG). He replaces Hon Pally Iriase who resigned the position to contest the House of Representatives seat for Owan Federal Constituency.
Dr. Imuekemhe, a Consultant Paediatrician, was the immediate past Head of Service (HOS) of the State.
Aged 56, Dr Imuekemhe is married to Barrister (Mrs) Josephine Imuekemhe, President Area Customary Court, Egor. They are blessed with three children.
Dr Imuekemhe was first appointed Permanent Secretary in June 1999 and deployed to the Government House; he was also appointed Permanent Secretary/Chairman Board of Internal Revenue from 2000 to 2005. He was appointed Head of Service in 2005, until his retirement in February this year.
He will be sworn-in at a date to be announced.
