Unidentified gunmen have shot and killed an Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP, John Ibizugbe and his 23-year-old daughter, Bola Ibizugbe.
They were killed in the early hours of Monday, 3 October in the cop’s home at Alagbado.
ASP Ibizugbe was in charge of the Anti-Robbery Squad at Area ‘F’ Ikeja, Lagos, southwest Nigeria.
P.M.NEWS investigations revealed that the assassins stormed his residence at about 4.30 a.m on the fateful day after some of them scaled the fence in his home.
They shot several times into the home of the cop and when they could not gain access through the gate, they scaled the fence.
The assassins struck when Ibizugbe was preparing to go to work.

The gun men engage him in a gun duel and when he ran out of bullets, they succeeded in gunning him down while Stella, his first wife went into hiding.
After they shot him, they ransacked his house after whcih they put the pistol the cop used in fighting them beside his corpse and left without removing anything.
After the assassins left, neighbours informed the baale and they called in the police at Agbado Division in Ogun State who later took the corpses of the ASP and his daughter to the mortuary.
Investigations at Area ‘F’ revealed that he had handled sensitive robbery cases in the past and he was also handling another one before he was killed. But his colleagues couldn’t say exactly why he was killed.
