Housewife charged with husband’s murder

The police in Lagos on Wednesday charged a 42-year-old housewife, Helen Ademoye, with killing her husband during a fight.
Ademoye was accused of killing, Kazeem, with an Uninterrupted Power Supply on Sept 16.
The housewife allegedly hit Kazeem on the head with the UPS, resulting in his instant death.
The accused was brought on a one-count charge of murder before Magistrate Salama Matepo but her plea was not taken.
 Matepo said that she needed the advice of the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) on the case.
The prosecutor, Sgt. Benson Emurehi, told the court that Ademoye committed the alleged murder at No. 11, Aigbokhan Close, Magodo Estate, Lagos.
According to him, the alleged offence contravenes Section 319(1) of the Criminal Code, Laws of Lagos State, and is punishable by death.
The court adjourned the case till Nov. 23 for the DPP’s advice. (NAN)
